Rolling Stones 'Bigger Bang'
Once again, I’ve reached a point where I have nothing to write about. So I’m trying the exercise of simply sitting down and writing because something will eventually come out.
There are a couple of things that I like to write about. A couple of things that need to be purged from my system, but they are of a personal nature and I cannot purge. And those things are making me a little batty.
As Forrest Gump would say, “That’s all I got to stay about that.”
Well, that exercise went nowhere.
I’m kind of excited about the new NASCAR season. The Shoot Out is this Sunday and it’s only 11 days until the Daytona 500.
I’m known for cheering on underdogs and I’ve added one for the 500, James Hylton. Mr. Hylton is 72 years old and he’s trying to make the 500. It will be an uphill battle for him since he’ll have to more than likely race his way into the field. Since my driver of the number 7 Jim Beam Ford Fusion Robby Gordon finished in the top 35 of last year’s point standings, he guaranteed a starting spot. I’ve got nothing to worry about there, baby!
I hope that James Hylton makes it and shows those punks a thing or two. And if he shakes his cane out the window at the youngsters as he passes them, well…. That’s just a bonus.
It should be an interesting season… Toyota joins the list of car manufacturers, an open-wheeler by the name of Juan Montoya joins the ranks, and some big changes have taken place in the points system.
That’s about all I got today and I apologize for the shortness. And only to remind and let the new readers into it… The title of each blog is the musical selection of the day. It’s what I’m listening to all day long.
