the The 'Mind Bomb'
For Christmas, I got one of those “poof” things. You know… One of those shower things that have replaced the old fashioned wash rag..?
A woman gave it to me and she made sure to get a “manly” color… Black.
I’ve always been a bar soap kind of guy. I use a wash cloth for some things, but over all… I use bar of soap in the shower. I guess that’s a non-thrills kind of way of bathing, but I don’t care.
The last time I house sat for someone, I forgot to bring my bar of soap into the shower. She didn’t have any bar soap, but I found some body wash. So I poured some of that into my hand and started rubbing and cleaning myself with it. I was disgusted with the lack of lather. I didn’t feel like anything was getting cleaned. I felt as oily as Oliver North during his Iran-Contra testimonies. The stuff just wasn’t doing the job.
That’s when I noticed that there was a poof thing there. I thought to myself… Hmmm… That thing is porous… I’m sure that one big job of the poof is to create a good lather…
I tried it. My assumptions were right. The poof did create a rich and luxurious lather. I LOVED it! But I didn’t use it again. I soaked it in warm soapy water and then rinsed it with hot water. That’s because I’m a bit of a germ freak and she may not have appreciated the fact that I used her poof.
That one time experience was a pleasant one. But I just parked it into the back of my mind without giving it another thought.
I’m currently on my last bar of soap and I’ve been meaning to pick up some body wash to use with my Christmas poof. I just keep forgetting.
I like the poof and I must say that with using one before… I felt cleaner than I did after using plain ol’ fashioned bar soap.
Should I be sending in my “Man Card” for good?
--I started watching season one of Weeds on DVD from Netflix. And from the first of two discs… I’m TOTALLY digging this show!
I wouldn’t say that it’s great, but some of the dialogue with the black family of suppliers is absolutely hilarious. And there’s the ever pleasant benefit of having Elizabeth Perkins in the mix too!
I’m becoming a fan of Weeds. And once I’m finished with that one… The L Word is next.
For some reason, I thought the “L word” pertained to the word “love”… But I was mistaken. So now I’m even MORE intrigued!
